Writing is jealous mistress. She demands our constant attention, but fills those countless hours with the delirious euphoria of creation. She requires ceaseless study to meet her unforgiving standards, but offers unparalleled rewards in our reader's faces once enough skill is achieved. She expects us to seek out rejection when common sense caution us against self destruction. We who court this mistress do so for love, caught up in an obsession which refuses to release its hold. We write because we cannot not write. We can't stop though some of us have tried. These pages are being rewritten. Please be patient, revisions are the heart and soul of good writing.
